JFE Chemical’s graphite powder, in the form of Mesophase Microsphere (spherical crystal) or bulk mesophase, is generated from coal tar using our unique technology. The product consists of carbon microparticles that form a highly crystalline graphite structure.
The product has been well recognized for its high capacity and performance, meeting the needs of this age when downsizing, weight reduction and longer life of Li-ion secondary batteries are increasingly demanded for computers and mobile phones. We are also developing products for secondary Li-ion batteries for automobiles and electric power storage, which are expected to be in greater demand in years to come, and for applications other than batteries such as carbon and resin composite materials.
